SGP, American Red Cross

This is very sad. The fact that these SGP high school students (my alma mater) and parents put faith in the those driving the boat and the staffers... and according to reports, the boat workers were the first to jump ship, is a tragedy. Carefully explore and do your homework before going on any sort of sight-seeing cruise anywhere. Be sure you are dealing with people who know what they are doing (credentialed, trained, certified) and will have your safety as the No. 1 priority. Check references and get recommendations from others. This goes for water activities, snow, mountain climbing, etc. Just my two-cents. Article about students gravely injured here:
